[ MadProf's Workshop ][ About Me (MadProf) ]
Hi, my NetName is MadProf. I'm not going to tell you my real name because
a lot of people seem to think that saying so is a Bad Thing (tm), to do
online, and besides, it adds an air of mystery and something or other to
me. I think. Not to mention the fact that is is possible to find out my
name most easily by actually viewing the rest of the site (providing you
have an image-capable browser).
I am Home-Educated, Vegetarian, live in Cyprus, have 4 cats, speak some
english, and a lot less Greek. I'm a brummie (That means I come from
Burrminum (actually spelt "Birmingham (England)". But I am a native, and
so speak weirdly. Strange isn't it, how most people seem to say the name
of their home-town/country in a way totally different to the rest of the
world.)), a programmer, an artist, and I like linux. I enjoy designing
web-sites, which is why this one gets re-made so often. And each time it
is the "last time I'm doing this", but I enjoy designing new sites so
much that it never really is. Except this time. THIS IS
THE LAST TIME. Well. Probably.
I've finally finished writing a computer game, Roller Park, I'm a member of
Smiley Productions , Christian
Coders, and a moderately active Blender User (I post sometimes on the forum, chat online on #blender3d (#blenderchat and #blenderqa now) occasionly, and a few of the older people there know me).
You can find the chatroom(s) on irc.linux.com or any other OPN server. I
am now a developer on the CronosII
open source project.
I'm very fond of Cadburys Chocolate, which IMHO is the best in the world.
(I know I will upset a lot of Mainland Europeans with that statment),
I do like Euro-chocolate, but I like the spicy Cadbury flavour. If you
disagree about the spicy thing, please send me some cadburys chocolate
which you concider non-spicy, and I will definately test it, and post
the results here.
When I ever actually play computer games.. which is extremely rairly these
days (*sigh*. perhaps thats good. I dont know), I like playing stratergy
games best, The Civilization series by Sid Mier and co are brilliant. I
also play Worms Armegeddon, bzFlag,
xPilots, and a few other x-windows
UNIX games (freecell is great when compiling stuff.).
I play Clarinet, all the recorders (except Soprinino, because my hands
are too big!), I listen mostly to CCM, the "Deeper" CD(s) by
Delirious¿ being my
current favorite.
Please do email me, provided that the email is not SPAM. I'm very happy
to answer questions about anything on my website (Art, Games, Programs,
Programming, Web-design, etc) or other topics which are mentioned here.
Or, in fact, anything vaguely surreal or insane, weird or funny.
I am NOT happy to recieve emails telling me that I can have the septic tank
taken care of easily and happily with no problems for another 10 years
providing I answer this email and get myself added to another 30 spam
lists.
I haven't been updating this site much recently, due to arm problems
when typing and/or using a mouse/tablet/rollerball. I have also formed
a theory stating all computers are evil and should be hated by all rational
people... which unfortunately proves me irrational. Which, if true, means
that my theory is wrong, and so I'm not, in which case my theory might
be right. Anyway, it all gets rather confusing and recursive. Talking
about recursion... Re-Cursing a computer doesn't work. They don't listen.
